Professional Profile

Prior to founding Rein Nomm & Associates, Inc. in 1989, Rein Nomm was Vice President of the Financial Relations and Professional Services Group for one of the largest public relations agencies in the Midwest. During his tenure there, he provided public and investor relations counsel to many of the region's leading public and private companies, as well as professional firms.

Rein Nomm also has extensive corporate communications experience as Manager of Stockholder and Financial Communications for American Motors Corporation. In his capacity as manager of this department, he directed the corporate financial media and shareholder relations programs and served as the corporate spokesperson for financial news.

Before entering the communications field, he worked in the securities industry and pursued an academic career. He was a stockbroker with Paine Webber for a number of years and also taught economics in the evening at Henry Ford College. Prior to that, he pursued a career in college teaching, having taught philosophy, logic, art history and humanities at Wayne State University, Schoolcraft College and Duns Scotus College, where he held the rank of assistant professor and was chairman of the Humanities Department.

He is past president of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), Michigan Chapter and also served as chairman of the Public Information Committee of the Financial Analysts Society of Detroit.
